Tex-Mex is a popular cuisine in Texas and Cantina Del Rio has some of the best dishes around. The menu features a wide array of taco, enchiladas and fajitas as well as some hamburgers. There are also some tasty nachos and fajitas available as well as some great appetizers such as homemade pico de gallo and salsa. Those looking for drinks can find cocktails, beers and sangrias on the menu as well as some non-alcoholic options such as Mexican Coke. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.

While not a typical restaurant, Gruene Barbecue Company still offers great local barbecue. This food truck features a host of homemade options crafted with family recipes with many of the meats smoked fresh. Meat options include brisket, ribs, chicken, sausage, turkey and pulled pork as well as sandwiches and a host of sides. The truck also features some great sandwiches and other signature dishes such as nachos or loaded mac ‘n cheese. Gruene Barbecue Company sits in the parking lot of Winery on the Gruene.

Looking to enjoy a more casual fine dining experience? The Gruene Door offers just the setting and features a menu of dishes all made in house. The menu features a host of American dishes spread across appetizers, salads and entrees. The Gruene Door also features a lunch menu that includes sandwiches, salads and entrees. For dessert, visitors can try either the chocolate cake, bread pudding or creme brulee. There is a full bar and wine list. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.

Most dishes are made from scratch on a daily basis and the restaurant says it uses the "freshest possible ingredients." Gristmill also features a great selection of wines, margaritas and a full bar. The menu features a lot of great desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth including German Chocolate Cake and Apple Crumb Pie. This multi-level restaurant features both indoor and outdoor seating with views of the Guadalupe River.
